How Crazy is Rusty?

So Rusty and I had another lovely walk yesterday (as seen in some of the pictures below). It had been raining and was a little chilly, so the ground was kinda muddy, Rusty had a blast playing and running and was a complete mess by the time we were done.

Rusty is very popular, several people have taken pictures of him and yestedrday we got swarmed by about 10 girls, who were probably 12 years old or so. I don't think Rusty likes that much attention- who knew he was such a chick magnet!

After the walk, he was such a mess I decided to have him groomed. He needed a haircut anyway, but I felt horrible taking him to a groomer (his least favorite thing) right after he had so much fun. When I picked him up I found out he bit the groomer (like 3 or 4 times!). The groomer felt bad because he scared Rusty- so luckily he didn't hold the biting against us but I felt bad- Rusty even broke the skin- poor guy and poor Rusty he must have been very stressed to bite someone.

While we were on our walk we came across the vines he had so much fun rolling in the other day- here's his reaction to them this time...

Even More Pictures

Last weekend the weather was just too nice to sit at home and read so Rusty and I went and sat at the sunken gardens so we could enjoy the temperature while it lasted (it's raining and kinda cold this weekend). Rusty got pretty bored just sitting there while I read but then he discovered he could sneek up on sunbathers and scare them.

These next two pictures are for Melanie, she sent me an article about this garden so I took some picture for her.

More Pictures

Are you sick of pictures yet?

I thought these colorful hats were fun- great way to keep track of the kids, they are listening to one of the colonial actors talk about the colonial prison system.

Is this colonial zero scape?

It's Spring!

I love Spring (I know that makes me very unique). Rusty and I had a lovely walk

Rusty doesn't like sheep as much as he likes horses.

Apparently Rusty likes vines even more than horses, this was too funny not to record- I don't know if you can hear it but he keeps snorting.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I didn't want Rusty to get pinched so I got him a St. Paddy's Day t-shirt. As you can see he wasn't overly fond of it.

He didn't mind it once I took him for a walk though...

The sheep thought he looked snazzy.

He was especially happy that the squirrels are back. Can you see the squirrel in this picture? (Rusty didn't)

I'm glad to be back in Virginia- but not too happy as I am sick. Rusty guilted me into taking him for a walk (it was the first time it hasn't been raining when I was free since we've been back-he hates the rain so we haven't been able to go for a walk). I felt better after seeing how excited he was to run around but now I feel worse- ugh.

On the bright side- I was offered a summer job today- yippee! I don't have to be destitute this summer! (Now I just have to decide if I really want to accept the offer- long story).

Snow Day

Rusty likes snow days too...

update

They canceled class for the rest of the day- yippee!

winter

It actually snowed here- we've had some flurries a couple times but this is the first time we've had a true snowstorm since I've been here. This isn't a snowstorm like we have in Utah- less snow but I think it's slicker. A lot of the schools have been closed and W&M won't open until noon (which means one of my classes is cancelled- I love snow days). I keep hoping that they'll cancel the rest of the day so we can have a true snow day but it seems unlikely at this point (*sigh*). I shouldn't complain, having the morning off has been a nice treat. Here are some pictures of Virginia snow.

I love Rusty's little footprints in the snow.
