Christmas Music

This is not a christmas song.

Neither is this.

Nuff said.

Cinema Class

i miss my students. They were a lot of fun. So in honor of them here is one of my favorite scenes from a movie we watched this semester.

Jammin' the Blues

This is a truly awesome short from 1944- we watched it in the cinema class- we've watched some amazing stuff...

The Seven Dwarfs- in French!

Sherlock Jr.

I love this movie and I think it includes one of the best car chase scenes ever (well- the best I have seen) and I've been meaning to put a clip here for a while. It's a longer clip than I wanted but if you skip forward a bit- to like the four or four and a half minute mark you can just watch the car chase- but the rest is great too!

Fun clip

I am writing a paper about WWII movies and I may start by talking about this scene- it's from a movie about the Depression- The Golddiggers of 1933- I think it'll set the stage nicely for my paper.

This scene, from the same movie, is fun too- watch for the pig latin- it's amazing!

Fun links

So I've been thinking about my thesis a lot lately- not really sure why. But one of the songs I discuss is I'm Doing it for Defense. Click the link- it's two of the strangest scenes I've ever seen in a movie- but entertaining, it's from the movie- Star Spangled Rhythm (great name, don't you think?). Betty Hutton was something else. Watching it reminded me of how much fun I had doing research (I'm focusing on the positive here and not on how painful the writing part of my thesis could be at times).
